RECORDINGS FROM 11 WEST RECORDS
The mission of 11 West Records is to offer quality recordings, primarily but not exclusively, of the music published by Smith Publications and Sonic Art Editions. With this purpose, 11 West Records distributes CDs for other companies in addition to producing recordings under the 11 West label.
The recording policy of 11 West Records is to capture the musical values that are brought to live performance. Interpretation and musical meaning are favored, instead of the highly edited illusion of perfect adherence to the score. Our recordings are made from live concerts, or within a studio setting from complete takes, and are presented with little or no editing.
